Krescent Carasso is a Bay Area-based food and portrait photographer. She received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute where she studied photography, painting, and filmmaking. Her background in fine arts, and her understanding of color, composition and visual storytelling contribute to her unique approach and set her work apart in the world of food photography. Most interested in capturing the intimate moments that are intrinsic to food and wine culture, she thrives in situations that demand spontaneity and improvisation. Whether she’s shooting commercial or editorial, Michelin Star restaurants or greasy spoons, Krescent always finds the unexpected and decisive moment that brings an image to life. Krescent's work has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, GQ, Esquire, 7×7, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Marin Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Gate, and East Bay Times.
